Load-shedding does more than take down mobile networks

Good article.

Can you also do an article for ISPs please. Afrihost hosts my site and recently have been experiencing outages that coincide with load shedding. What is their (and other ISPs) contingency plan?

Cell C is down in my area and there hasn't been any load shedding for 5 days. In fact, since the network went down the first time it hasn't recovered, it has been a rollecoaster.

Good thing I have both MTN and Vodacom as my main networks.

Cell C in my area seems to crap its pants every time we have load shedding. I've resorted to using my Telkom sim when the power goes out.

My Telkom sim went bonkers last night. Dropped connection, then 3G but no throughput on data. Luckily I popped in my Vodacom sim and got 1Gb of data to last me the night.

This is the cost you didn't like Zuma.

The new leader is making preparation for Openheimers to buy-out ESKOM for nothing.
