Nothing as attractive as an umlungu who can speak and write the language right, have you seen how black ladies swoon over them? I am giving you a great opportunity by correcting you now, you can thank me later.

You missed out on Xhosa and Zulu grammar rules, and got corrupted by the Boere Taal.

A bloke called Lumkho had a very good book out, if still in print, do yourself a favour a buy a copy, and study it.

It's Lumko not Lumkho.

The word is not Zulu or Xhosa so you can't apply Zulu and Xhosa grammar rules to it, it's a word borrowed from an Afrikaans word and does not form part of the Zulu or Xhosa grammar, it's township Tsotsi taal which is heavily influenced by Afrikaans.

But good on you for making the effort, I could also benefit from the book as my Xhosa is very basic but I really hope Lumko is not telling you it's written like that because it would be very scandalous.

Well it is 40 + years, since, I last spoke Royal Xhosa or Zulu, but like I said, suit yourself.

Interesting thread about Xhosa, Zulu, Afrikaans and a book.

On a side note:
The statement also explained that, under the Road Traffic Act, it was illegal for unqualified individuals to direct traffic or even stand in the road to trade or beg.
Not trying to be a Karen here but cant they then be stopped and fined?
I know this is their way of making a living but it creating a safety hazard.
I have been mugged at a robot at least 3 times in the last 6 years.

Not that cops do any better, but I follow the rules of the road or cop directions when power is out at a traffic signal. Not some rando in the street dancing and waving his hands, and then flagging down people for a mandela for his efforts

Same. These impimpis waving their hands in the road are actually a major traffic and safety hazard. It only makes the problem worse. Not only should it be illegal, but there needs to be something done about it to ensure that they aren't able to pull off their distracting maneuvers. There's nothing heroic about an unqualified pleb directing an accident and then fleeing the scene and the legal chaos that will invariably ensue as a result. Just another reason why this country is such a pathetic joke these days

The problem is that if you stop, someone will rear-end you because the traffic begins to flow once the vigilante-points-man starts giving signals..

It becomes a complete balls-up, because you will then get people pushing in, messing up his rhythm and causing confusion.

PS: Personally, I prefer they did not get involved and left it as a fourway-stop
