Loadshedding is back

Loadshedding, ie the selection of which suburbs to turn off, is done via a schedule regardless of who is doing what when.

Oh c'mon be realistic... :wtf:

When did they plan and release the schedule for this strike?

At the moment they are trying to keep the grid functioning.

Hello darkness my old friend They've come to rob me once again I hear their footsteps softly creeping ...

Pinelands, Langa and Epping are zone 9. Zone 9 on the 14th of a month is scheduled for load shedding from 1830 to 2000. Right on schedule, Pinelands is off right now.

Edit,

The schedule was developed moons ago, the schedule is agnostic to what power is available and when. It literally has nothing to do with power stations, it was developed as a method to handle the unstable power grid.

Zuma -> Guptas -> Illegal strike by Eskom workers due to not getting paid due to Eskom being used as a engine for state capture eg. overpaying for subpar coal so the Indian unkles can syphon taxpayer money out the country..

Even a genius like you should've made that link.

Hmmmm no.

You have on one side the Guptas who took Eskom as their personal property.

You have on the other side Eskom who for political purposes or by negligence increased its staff by 50% and cannot foot the bill anymore.

It would have anyway happened without the Guptas, maybe only next year but the Guptas’ cost to Eskom is a joke compared to the salary bill.

That city of Cape Town link said that Load shedding has been stopped. Is that true or has it just not been updated in years?
