Loadshedding is back

That city of Cape Town link said that Load shedding has been stopped. Is that true or has it just not been updated in years?

Oh FFS, This load shedding isn't scheduled! It's the result of an illegal strike currently happening with power stations being crippled.

Sure all the foreign investors that Ramaphosa is trying to attract will be impressed with this *****show..

Investors don’t base their investment on seeing one load-shedding in the news. They base on the power availability, which remains in excess of 99.x% this year.

Rees-Mogg could probably explain this to you as an investor.

So it's unscheduled but there's schedules going around municipalities showing times until July :erm:

The schedules are done anyway at the beginning of the electricity year (which is in July when price increases are effected) whether there is potential loadshedding or not.

It’s a contingency plan, even European utilities do the same.

Hmmmm no.

You have on one side the Guptas who took Eskom as their personal property.

You have on the other side Eskom who for political purposes or by negligence increased its staff by 50% and cannot foot the bill anymore.

It would have anyway happened without the Guptas, maybe only next year but the Guptas’ cost to Eskom is a joke compared to the salary bill.
I was angry and thought better than to bring BEE into the convo at the time, gonna need that R150k white tax for something similar to your situation soon..

Anyway, my 67 minutes for Mandela is up, powers back on, later losers.

I give up. You must be acting purposely obtuse...

foreign investors are imbeciles. How else do you explain them even given CR the time of day when he tries to sell them crap?

Foreign investors still make money in SA. And foreign investors like me are insured against political risks, strikes, utilities failure & co so we wouldn’t lose a dime.

Group 2 in PE wasn't affected tonight. Really hope the load shedding is no more from tomorrow.

Time to get a new battery for my small solar electric setup.
