Local FTP server

Oh well, looks like the international cap has kicked in and the DynDNS no longer seems to work. :(

Will have to come up with an alternate solution.

Been searching for free local dynamic DNS servers. Surprisingly dyndns.co.za seems to be hosted in the US as well.

Found out that OpenWeb offer dynamic DNS :)

Does anyone know how to activate this service? I can't seem to find it in the control panel.

Yes it does that same on my router, but I'm using a PPPOE through wireless on my laptop and it's less stable.

Managed to keep the same IP a bit longer this time.

Yah, works perfect..

Will upload as soon as my connection is stable.

btw What line you use?

Cool, do it again and we can exchange links :)

I want to move this off my laptop though, and on to a Linux box with a LAN cable connection. I downloaded Ubuntu server last night (figure local is lekker and all). Now I just need to find an AGP graphics card for my old PC...

www.quickshare.co.za is much better. Users get 200MB space and up to 30MB uploads (I've managed a 60MB upload before). I get full up and down speed on 4Mbit.

So for anything 30MB or below, I'd say home FTPs are pretty useless.
