Latest ISPA Hall of Shame names local spammers as well as known email address resellers
They are much easier to handle - start asking VERY PERSONAL questions.constant telemarketing crap is really annoying.![]()
In another pro-active move to battle spam ISPA has also started to name companies which are engaging in local email address list reselling. “It is the experience of ISPA's members that this activity is a significant contributor to spam originating in South Africa,” ISPA states.
ISPA names the following companies as address resellers:
1. Mark Tribelhorn (2009-07-09)
2. Affordable Construction (2009-07-09)
3. Rain Marketing (2009-07-09)
4. Media Online (2009-07-09)
Good news would be "SA spammers named and shamed... and sued for R50 million each". Their names mean very little to me but their going to jail would be something.
Agreed. What is a bit of shame if you are earning a ton of money! They need to be hit with crippling fines or jail.

They are much easier to handle - start asking VERY PERSONAL questions.
What sort of personal questions?
When I've got time I keep them on the line as long as possible. Put the phone down somewhere for a wee bit while they're still holding on. Just keep them interested ... torment them!![]()
I wonder if these know that they are most likely breaking the law?
