Local torrent site invites.

The problem with this thing is mostly that you guys sound like arrogant cocks about the whole thing. We're so amazing because we have high ratios etc..
Not that its a bad thing, I would also love a nice file sharing community, but one that gets so uptight about this that they kick members and send them emails with virueses? Doesnt sound like a nice place to be, you probably just give one guy a crap upload speed for a few seconds and once he's done crying about it you're out.

Couldnt you guys lightne up, and stop being so strict about your invites? You'll probably find there are tons of people willing to shre but hey just cant get onto your site... you could kick the bad ones anyway, youre good at it.

And now that Telkom hard-caps what exactly is the point? how much faster can it be to make it worth having a so much more limited choice and getting kicked for a bad ratio so easily?
With IS the newsgroups are obviously faster and no need to upload to anyones spesifications...

A very simple introduction: get Grabit newsreader, enter either nntp.is.co.za or news.is.co.za as your server. Go to newzleech.com or binary.nl and search for what you looking for. Save the NZB file somewhere on your HD. Go to grabit, click on batch, then article import, and select the NZB file that you saved. And voila ;) Oh yeah and you need and IS account to get the most from it due to having 30 gigs local bandwidth

You need the IS account just to access it at all.
You can only loginto this if you are on IS.

Basically it means you can downlaod a very many things, locally for free at full speeds, kinda.

Makes a R170 2gig account worth it just to rape 2gigs of whatever you want international, and then get 28GB of local stuff the rest of the month and use a cybersmart account or something for internet surfing in general and some interational downloads.

Correct that's what I meant sorry :) And the cool thing is there's no need to enter a username and password, it automatically recognises whether you're an IS subscriber or not.
 
i thought they restricted that you cancel your current account first before you sign up with them (cybersmart) ? or is that bull ?
 
Do you know if Grabit works on news.saix.net? I have downloaded it and wanted to give it a test run, but it says that it cannot log on to news.saix.net.

I have entererd this server into outlook express and it connects fine.
 
Or just use Webafrica prepaid if you need to use international after you get capped internationally on IS. The data doesn't expire at the end of the month, only when it gets used up :)
EDIT: to get a comparison of the size between the two, it took under a minute to get the grouplist for SAIX, but it took close to 10 minutes to get the grouplist for IS
