Lock Down - Obtaining a Telkom SIM

How does one get a Telkom SIM card and get it RICA'ed during the current lock down?

You should be able to pick it up from your local store. Airtime, Simcards and Data vouchers as specifically mentioned as essential goods. Best bet would be Checkers Money Market I reckon.

Thanks, normally I hit the local Spar, and about the best one gets from them is airtime or electricity payments. Checkers is doable tho.

I tried last week to buy / RICA a Cell C SIM at a Spar, and a Checkers in a big centre.
Both said they no longer sold any SIMs.

The P 'n P (in the same centre) had Cell C SIMs, but told me the RICA system is down during this lockdown period, so I don't know if anyone knows differently ? - ie. has successfully managed to complete the process, because I'd still like to RICA a Cell C SIM, somewhere / somehow.

Rica's an MTN sim card at Pick n Pay last week. Was easy, have proof of residence on my phone, and had my ID on hand. I think it cost me R3. I am sure there were telkom cards too

Thanks for confirming - possible the RICA system was down at the time I tried, and a communication misunderstanding ; I'll try another P 'n P soon, then.
