We have been working from home since the first lockdown was put in place. I have noticed that my drinking and eating habits is starting to get out of control to the point where I am seriously thinking about going back to my office.

Who else has this problem?

Also been WHF since the first lockdown started. Can't say I have that issue. I eat at breakfast and lunch and again at dinner.

Thats one of my problems, I eat when I get hungry and then its not your normal sarmie, most of the time its take outs ect or unhealthy food. I also open a beer at about 2pm

I've lost some weight since WFH started.

No more free espresso and hot chocolate and cappuccino to tempt me at home :p

OP, you can try intermittent fasting to see if you can cut out some meals that way and see if it helps. It will be rough for the first two weeks, but once your body adjusts you will find yourself not even thinking about food for most of the day.

Good luck

If been working from home since leaving the hostel at school. Was skinny till I reached 30, a year or 2 ago. I would also like to blame it on lockdown.

I forgot to add, work in some breaks in between your work to stretch your legs. Go outside and sit in the sun, do some stretches, go for a jog around the block or take the dogs for a walk.

Movement is very important especially if you want to avoid long-term effects like blood clots in your legs etc.

Only major issue I have with working from home is that I have grown to absolutely despise my otherwise very comfortable office chair. Which makes chilling with a game or something in the evening challenging.

Get a bench for work. It'll make you love your chair later.

OP, must just learn some self control or go back to the office. Companies still expect you to keep sober while on the clock so, drinking could get you fired.

Since WFH I've noticed that I tend to use my PC less and less each month as my work laptop and personal machine resides on the same desk. I don't have the motivation anymore at night
to play a few games any more after spending the entire day in that chair.

I have been working from home since late March 2020 and I long got over the hype of working from home  My weight has yoyo'd, as has my fitness levels/physique as initially I did a lot of yoga, core exercises, running, biking when I could and was eating my usual stricter diet during the week. Then my fiancé got infected by SARS-CoV-2 and developed a few COVID-19 symptoms, I was told to stop training and shortly after our son was born so training and diet took a back seat. I am back training more regularly, and eating more strictly during the week so feeling and looking better as time goes by. Drinking has been OK, more than I normally would in terms of number of times per week but still mainly a beer or two or a whisky or two.

Our office is still closed and there is no expectation it will open any time soon, so working from home for the foreseeable future as I don't have much choice.

One thing I am really trying to get back into is exercising during the work week. I used to take the dog for a walk every day at lunch time. But that period became unpredictable with work and meetings and and. I'm considering taking the dog for a walk first thing in the morning, followed by a quick workout of some sorts and then start my usual morning routine.

I should also pay more attention to my diet; I just have no idea where to start with that.

My WHF situation won't change for the foreseeable future either. I might be going to the office once a week or so, from April, maybe.

I think the drinking habits is more from the government regulations, than working from home - well in my instance it is.

The fact that I need to "stock" up alcohol just in case for the weekend makes me have a couple of drinks over the weekend, whereas in the past I would just buy if I wanted to drink. The fact that "it is there", makes me have a couple of glasses. My drinking habit has not changed much during the week though.

For me the eating is all about the food you eat, personally I have not really changed the type of food I eat since its a habit and food I would always make even prior to lockdown. The reason why I picked up a few kg is probably more due to me not being as active as I used to be.

And I am been dead serious. I have had to deal with incompetent people all day. Co workers. On email and whatsapp. Absolute idiots. And I remained calm. If I was at work sober i would of lost the plot and fired the whole ****ing lot !!! And I am not even joking
