What happened, have you fried the ecu yet or sent the vehicle up in flames??!Yeah there's not much clearance around it and will probably damage the wheel. I've contemplated the welding thing as well but thinking that will also mess up the wheel... I only have a stick welder and my welding is not great.
I've bought the replacement set already so don't care what happens to these ones. Guess I'm phoning the benoni bros.

My daughter's Getz went to a panel beater a few years back. After getting it back, a couple of days later there were low oil pressure warnings. Turns out the main bearings had basically welded themselves to the crankshaft, and were shredded.thats a bit of a myth to a degree btw - about removing the battery before welding.
^ That ^Just drill it out and replace the lug.
