Hi Guys

Need a logo done for a client (NGO)

Requirements as per client:

A green leaf with a drop of water.
Text: Decentralized Environmental Solutions (DES)

Something Earthy- Green Bluish won't go wrong. I will need mock ups within 2 days preferably as I need to design the website around it.

Please quote your price, prefer to keep the job local instead of crowd sourcing it. So whoever's looking for a bit of spare cash. Don't forget to state your price. Budgeting around R200-R300 as it is a NGO.

Thanks.

NGO's have ****-tons of money... so they can afford to pay a little for a logo and website. Trust me.

Oh ja, every single one of them!!

In fact, they're all fronts for money laundering anyway, and sell drugs - all of them.

I love generalisations :p

Get CorelDraw and make one yourself :p
Sure you can get a "not so out dated" version 12 for free on the web if you search long enough :D

My parents run an NGO and trust me, they don't all have oodles of money. They are non-profit for a reason.

Our specific NGO manages the logistics and accounts for several orphanages/schools. Every free cent they have goes to feeding, clothing and educating children. They have to maintain multiple premises where kids and their foster parents live. Beds and linen and tables and chairs and toys and educational materials. Nappies and bottles and hygiene products. Fuel and maintenance for vehicles. Half the orphanages are internationally located (Malawi, Mozambique, Kenya) and some local. Visas and legal documents. Taxes. Dealing with governments and corrupt officials. Mandatory yearly audits which mean employing an accounting firm.

Donors who insist on knowing what exactly was done with the R100 they donated, who sometimes go so far as to demand receipts. People who "kindly donate" all their old broken crap, not realising that it probably costs the orphanage more to get their old broken items fixed than it would to just buy new ones, and who then get upset when you decline or throw out their donation. It's a house, they are people, it's not a junkyard.

Synergy, I have some macro photographs I took of leaves with drops of water on them. I'll figure out a way to logo-ify them for you and you can choose whichever one you like. No design fees, no copyright, no royalties, nada. I'll PM you sometime tomorrow. If none of them are suitable, no prob either.

There is a difference between an NGO and a NPO ;)

I understand that, but the classification between a NGO and a NPO is different.

Yeah even so they all have one thing in common

To do everything as cheap as possible then I am not referring to one that can hardly keep head above water, talking about the so called "Big Boys" Lol
