Easy, had the car in 1st instead of reverse and then stepped on the gas.
Coulnt have been from the other side because women can't /don't reverse park.

I beg to differ with you on that one since I can and do reverse park a double cab bakkie. But I also do not get up to this.....

Could happen if one has a fright when you expect the car to go into the opposite direction and then simply kick out with the right foot (to brake), but fail to move the foot to the brake pedal first?

Probably an auto (but not necessarily) and she panicked when it started going forward and she floored it thinking she had gone for the brakes.
