London Terror Arrests Disrupted Public Beheading Plot

London police arrested four men Tuesday in an ongoing terror investigation. On "The Real Story" today, we learned that the alleged plot involved beheading people on the streets of London.

Authorities said the men, who are in their early 20s, were arrested after warrants were executed at various addresses. One of the men was tasered, but did not require medical attention, FoxNews.com reported.

Gretchen Carlson talked to UK Telegraph defense editor Con Coughlin, who confirmed that the plot was to behead innocent people in public, citing Scotland Yard and intelligence officials.

Coughlin said the plot involved jihadists who had come back from Syria. He likened the horrific plot to the brutal public murder of British soldier Lee Rigby in May 2013.

Only a savage would behead an innocent person , they are cowards and should be exterminated .

Exactly why it has to be taken with a very large pinch of salt. These police are always looking for ways to increase their funding, to be allowed to spy more and expand their powers of arrest. They have ample incentive to exaggerate threats, and yes they count on the stupidity and cowardice of the public. Throw in the fact that they already prosecute people for making jokes and thoughtcrime, and it becomes impossible to distinguish a real plot from just talk.

once again, open to interpretation. no holy text says "go and kill innocent people for ****s and giggles". people will find any motivation to kill someone. a clear cut example is that you have "satanists" who follow a hollywood approach to inverted christianity, having NO text, demon or person telling them to kill anyone, going out to kill people.

if sex was also a motivator, the world would also be full of mormons and rapists, which it isn't.

if you look at the world too, you will notice that there are a lot of young people just trying to fit in and find their place in the world. some people go join a terrorist organisation, some grow a giant pumpkin, some go climb mount everest

Neither Christianity nor Mormonism teaches that you get nympho virgins in heaven. Islam does. It's unique in that.

Islam, however, seems to have a dramatically higher number of young men willing to kill others and die for their faith. We need an explanation for that.

And why do you say Koran 78:31-33? Do you talk about Bible 3:13?

religion also has a higher number of irrational arguments and willingly ignorant people, but i do not see any of the theists on mybb becoming atheist any time soon. it's always easier to point out somebody else's shortcomings

You can't argue with the fact that as far as religions go Islam seems to be producing a lot more hatred and extremism

the biggest religion in the world has bad apples? you do understand that from any large group, the number of anything increases.

there is also difficulty when distinguishing between "islam" and culture, as every nation has its history, language, social issues and the way the religion integrates into daily life. why are some islam countries peaceful while others re in constant strife?

in any case, the promise of 72 virgins is no different to what my pastor used to preach about the rewards in heaven and the damned going to suffer, minus the "go kill yourself to make god happy", but it was justifiable at one stage because the christians had to get the go-ahead somewhere to burn witches and pillage during crusades

you are under the wrong impression then :p it's no different to being under the impression that all adulterers should be stoned in christianity

edit: a religion wouldn't have made it this far in the world if its philosophy was "kill anyone who breaks a rule". there are people that take it to the extreme, but there are equally loving people in the religion. my biggest criticism is the silly rituals and beliefs, but as far as creating psychpaths, everything nation and society in the world has those, and they're a minority in every society
