They not too bad but you deffinitely cant be the clingy type. It can be very had but its always exciting to see your partner again. You also have to be very trust worthy and you have to be able to trust the person too...

They are awesome in the sense that you are free to do what you want when you want. Same goes for the other party. And when you do get together you spend quality time together.
The problem is do you or the other party feel that you can cope with the free lifestyle of the other person. If not, don't even try. If you are going to get upset that he/she is going out till 3 am in the morning and you hardly ever get the person on the phone at certain times. Rather just let it go.
Brilliant relationships can be developed with each having their own time and free space. But it takes real balls to sit out such a relationship and see it through. If you have the balls, go for it. But pls don't set your heart on it. It's a true character tester for the both of you

Thanx guys have been in a long distance relationship for 3 years and now for 5 months so kind of used to it lol and I dont think I will ever go for a relationship close to home

It also depends on the distance. I live 90 min drive from a boyfriend was hard but trust me it is worth it when you see the person again

About 850km but with planes it makes it so much easier to get back and forth
Jenna and I have been dating long distance for more than 5 years now, things are going great. She never calls though, I always have to be the one to call first. She's got a great sense of humour, that's what I love about her. She'll pretend she doesn't know me and and swear and slam the phone down, but I know she doesn't mean it. I think she's just acting out her fantasy of being stalked.

Shes going to be studying next year for 3 years in Pta I am in Durbs so will most likely move up to Pta but for now waiting for her to finish her studies

Hmm, she's probably going to meet new people and want to hang out with them a lot. It's possible that you might follow her just to get dumped. No idea what age you guys are.
What are her thoughts on this?

I am 25 she is 20 doubt that will happen our relationship is 2 solid for that but then again in my last 1 you never know till it hits you like a freight train

You are both going to meet new people and the temptation will be there from your side and from her side.
I did it for about 12 mths and we are still together, (10yrs) but it was made clear that we are together but we were allowed to...errr...have fun during the LDR.
Just be adult about it.
