They went back during the same De Ruyter's time because there was no case against them, do you have trouble with reading?

True though, we like to act like BEE fails in all areas but if there is one thing they are good at it is running eskom and making sure we have as little load shedding as possible. Sure they still make their mistake at eskom but we at least have power. Andre has only been gone for a month and we see a positive change already.Listen, you.
Amazing what an approved increase can do.Amazing how suddenly things can be done.
Last Sunday we had stage 1 and 4 and 5 average rest of the weekend. I don't buy things have magically changed this fast. Not really. Last Sunday we also had stage 0. It's the week days when the *** hits the fan.
During which and after hours Eskom usually increases load shedding to save and to "build up reserves".Tuesday is a public holiday if you didn't notice.
Load shedding can be reduced by two stages by simply deciding to use diesel. As I said earlier
Don't buy it.......as @Vorastra said, how does it suddenly sort itself out in 2 weeks??
Yes morale IS probably higher because they got De Ruyter out of the way. No more spanners in the way. (Excuse the pun)
As you say, it's not the CEO it's the Senior Managers, Maintenance Engineers, Planning Engineers, Technicians etc etc that run the show below him.
Didn't they all follow best practice/ maintenance schedules irrespective who was there as CEO?
As much as everyone wants it you can't get rid of every corrupt individual in your organisation or you'd not have enough employees left to run the show. You have to prioritise. Load shedding costs the economy more than what corruption costs Eskom. He at least had the guts to get rid of criminals and saboteurs. Now it will be a feast for all again.
You think it was that? Hmmmm.Amazing what an approved increase can do.![]()

We never shut down, can'tPeople forget that long weekends esp with strikes, factories tend to shut down equipment. (So going offline for 4 days)
We did the same, normally we keep systems running as we have people working on Saturdays but cause of the "4 day weekend" we shut all systems down. Wednesday will also be a slow start for all of them to go back online before full production can start agian.
Edit: Same for all the servers.
Lmfao..I only read this now..There are plenty of engineers at Eskom who run the show, not the CEO, the only difference here is that Cassim knows how to coordinate his forces to work towards a common goal, a mate who works for Eskom tells me that ever since Cassim took over Eskom is like a different place, the morale is high and the results are now showing, something that was missing under De Ruyter.
Yes, I also have mates at Eskom like everybody else.
You just can't find it in yourself to acknowledge that someone can do better than De Ruyter, that's what is wrong with you.Lmfao..I only read this now..
Yea ,you're definitely delusional..Shem
I am a person of colour..True though, we like to act like BEE fails in all areas but if there is one thing they are good at it is running eskom and making sure we have as little load shedding as possible. Why don't you come out and say what you really want to?You just can't find it in yourself to acknowledge that someone can do better than De Ruyter, that's what is wrong with you.
Dont say you are a "person of colour", No need to be diplomatic or politically correct here, say it like it is, You are black, Indian, coloured or whatever.I am a person of colour..
I have no problems in saying BEE is currently benefitting the politically connected and is destroying our country.
