I can admit de Ruyter wasn't corrupt enough to do the job. Perhaps that's the main reason he resigned. But he's not the only one.

They're going to kick this can down the road till private companies take over when Eskom evaporates into nothing.

ANC are truly terrible at being in charge, they're grossly unqualified, uninterested, and criminal, this entire place has genuinely been on half arsed autopilot for a while now.

Loadshedding will continue being implemented at Stage 1 until further notice. Eskom will provide an update as soon as any significant changes occur.

EFF are actually helping to conserve power because consumption increases on a normal week day. Many businesses will be closed on Monday in anticipation of a national shutdown.

Police dispersed EFF crowds who were were prepping this morning, in Midrand and Gosforth Park.

Many businesses will be closed anyway because it's a de facto long weekend. As usual EFF being opportunistic and will claim everyone's scared of them while only 10 of their members show up.

Dont say you are a "person of colour", No need to be diplomatic or politically correct here, say it like it is, You are black, Indian, coloured or whatever.

Once again you got it wrong, I am not saying I am all for BEE, My point is they run eskom better than Andre, We only had loadshedding in winter before Andre when eskom was lead by BEE, During Andres tenure we had loadshedding every single day of the year, Now Andre is gone and again loadshedding results are positive. These are facts and if you want to turn a blind eye then it is on you. Ultimately the results speak for themselves. Or would you rather have Andre back and go back to stage 8 load shedding?

Andre's the best from a business perspective. From a business perspective you want to reduce debt and operating costs. From an economic perspective we want less load shedding and more spent curbing it. Eskom's not a private business but one that's supposed to serve SA so guess which one most people prefer. Simply put ANC again appointed the wrong person for the job. But now they have less of that debt to service but also less tax revenue to do so for many years to come.
