Lonmin - What do people think

People with the "Know How" tend not to discuss these matters. I've always wondered why. I think I know one of the reasons now.

Would it surprise you if I told you Buffet had a win ratio of only 40%
The turtle traders had a win ratio of 25%
That means only 25% of the time they were right and they ended as multi-millionaires.

The reason the "real" experts dont tell you what they are doing is because there is no point,
there is more to the equation than simply calling it right.
Once you figure this out, you stop making posts of what you thinks gonna happen on the market.

So looks like we're more likely to lose all our money on Lonmin lol, little that I put in. Oh well...

My cousin was retrenched very recently (very cozy position for years)

Yea this Lonmin Story was successful but now its a horror story, however I am still so far down that I will see if I pop up on the other side.

Nah I reckon it's a write-off.

I bought at R2.20 this morning with a mere R250 so I got 113 shares.

Worst case I lose R250, but if they even recover slightly it's an easy R5000 in my pocket.

If they by some miracle recover to 2008 levels...highly unlikely...it's a huge chunk of change.

agrees...

besides the poor platinum demand, our political & labour conflicts, electricity issues etc. puts extra weight on the mining industry's shoulders.

That may be, but at the moment, there are only 13 orders to sell.

People are beginning to hold onto it.

I have decided to throw another R100 at it. Meh if it tanks that's that, I'd have lost a Nandos full chicken or something

Who's your broker?

If its OST, don't buy the share, buy the CFD - you'll have double the exposure!
