Lonmin - What do people think

Coronation Top 20? Spit!

At least the Marriott Dividend Growth Fund (I split the investment between those 2) declines aren't nearly as big as the Top 20 falls. Dividend returns between the 2 are about even though.
I'm still 43% on my top 20 though even while it declines

What does it mean though. Lay mans terms

If you have Lonmin shares, you now either have to pay in a lot of money to keep your level of share holding at the same level or your shares get much cheaper due to being diluted by a bunch of new shares and you hold much less of the company.

So what does one do now seeing as the share price is at 34c? Does one buy or rather not?

please explain this whole rights issue.

lets say someone has 1000 shares which he paid R3.00 for, his investment is now R3000.00. the day after the right issue was voted in favour the share price is now 30 cents. which drops his investment to R300? BUT he has the option to buy 46 shares for every one share he owns which means he can buy 46000 shares at 21 cents which means he has to pay 21 cents x 46000 =R9660 to keep his original equity. ???? Why is that a good idea?

You have got the right understanding of what is happening.

Lonmin is going to fold eventually. It is going to be a catastrophe for South Africa but it is unavoidable
