Looking for a fun car.

May I be the voice of reason and recommend against buying a 7-10 year old turbo charged car? Especially the type of car that is typically driven into the ground by their owners?

Toyota MR2 (any model)
Mazda MX-5 No turbos
Both briliant.

Also MG TF

Well as far as the SX's go i'm lucky enough to have a friend that owns 2 and I might try Pilfer one of his (They're in pretty good nic), ah im not buying these cars in a "reasonable state of mind" it was the voice of reason that made me buy my corsa lite lol.

No go away and let us kids have fun :p

Just kidding :) I think the OP is aware of the possible reliability issues, but from what I understand this car will not be a daily driver but more of a stuff-around car

You are missing one of the very obvious choices in this category : BMW 6-cyl. There are a couple of very neat E46 (3-series) and E39 (5-series) in that price range. Plus they are pretty reliable if you get a good one and look after it.

Agreed.

I am selling my 2003 Golf V GTI 132kw for R125k. I really love it, but unfortunately I have a baby now and need to buy something with a bigger boot.

Stop trying to sell FWD cars in mah thread :P

I'm not a huge fan of BM's looks wise,

I have kinda narrowed down to MR2, 300zx z32, and Nissan 200sx

Really want 300zx but not sure if the price is worth it when an SX only knocks me back 50k vs 120k.

Thoughts?
