Looking for a new Graphics Card for (+-) 2k

I'm looking to replace my GTX 460 Hawk OC for something around 2k.

Anyone have any recommendations? Thinking of trying the Radeon 7790?

I would recommend that one yes, but I think it would be a downgrade from a 460 OC.

+1 to what NomNom said: it wouldn't be an upgrade from the GTX460 Hawk at all!

You'll need to spend at least R3k if you want a new graphics card that is an upgrade to yours.

I would rather recommend the HD7850 instead, it has a better cooler, overclocks better, isn't limited as much with memory bandwidth and comes with the same games bundle.

According to this you'll see a big boost from a 7850:

According to Toms 3 tiers difference is enough to make upgrade worth it. The 7850 is 4 tiers above your 460.

Plus you get a grand's worth of games. It's a no brainer.
