I'm not planning to buy.
I just want to have a quote to add to by budget request for next year. It's for the Governing Body and PTA to decide if new PCs for my class is a priority or not and whether a fundraiser needs to launched.
Where can I get a competitive quote for 50 PCs.
Of course I live in the Western Cape so some business in the Cape Town area will probably be the most realistic choice.
I'm also looking for the quotation to be itemized, i.e. Monitor - Tower - Peripherals ... so that the decision can be made to select a total package or maybe just the towers.
Specification-wise, I'm looking at i3 processors with 4GB RAM and 1TB of HDD space.
We will probably have to run with these PCs for a number of years, so if you think that the specs are a little bit too weak, feel free to make recommendations. I love recommendations.
Remember. These are PCs for a primary school. The most demanding software that will run on the PC will probably be Windows 7 ... except if the Department of Education finds a way to supply us a with a Windows 8 license.
I will also be wanting to dual-booting with the newest educational distro of Linux but I don't expect it to be more demanding on the system resources than Windows.
