I'm looking for a decent featurephone for my father-in-law
He is a bit rough on them, so I'd prefer a rugged one.
He had one of those Samsung Contractor phones and it lasted him almost 7 years.

Any suggestions on a decent phone for him? I like the CAT B30, but its a bit pricey.

Doogee T5

I have been using Doogee phones for a few years now. I have to have a rugged phone due to my job. This year I get the T5 as a replacement for my DG700. The DG700 was 18 months old and I finally cracked the glass when I dropped it face down onto the corner of a tile. These phones are well put together and can take the knocks.

The nice thing is that they are only R2k, so easily replaced without needing to take out a mortgage.

Nice, thanks. Looks like a good option.
I would have preferred a featurephone what can only make and receive phonecalls.
But they seem to be a dying breed.
He's a bit old school - someone gave him a Blackberry as a temporary fix and he almost threw it in the swimming pool yesterday.

Take a look at the Nomu T10 dual SIM feature phone. I have an S20 and it's a very well built rugged/waterproof phone with one of the best phone speakers that I have ever heard (NXP SmartPA module). You might also be able to get a small discount for a first time purchase using the Aliexpress app. I am considering buying an S10 for a family member who is losing their hearing.

Here's a cheap $20 model. I have bought a Uhans A101 phone previously and I have been very impressed with the quality.
