I am considering the following:

Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 for R12.5k and a Bluetti EB70 Portable Power Station 1000W 716Wh for Power outage SA Plug for R9.9K.

This is just a hypothetical. How long will that laptop last on that power station?

According to the laptop specs

Am I correct to assume 716Wh / 45Wh = 15 hours? For a total hypothetical cost of R22.4K per system.

And I need to hypothetically buy 2 of them

716/45= 15 times, not hours. The 716wh backup solution will fill the laptop battery 15 times, ignoring any inefficiencies and the fact that one never wants to completely drain any battery.

If the laptop is idling, it will last longer, if you are jamming GTA6, shorter. It is all relative.

We know more or less what the charger will consume per hour. I am guessing we are looking at the 170W as this is not the top model. I also assume that is 170W hour because what else can it be. A good guess would be 716W / 170W = 4 hours excluding its build in battery. Well no. that is not worth it then. Eskom is really killing us. R22k later and you can't get a full work day.
