Hi people

I am looking for a Telkom tower technician's number who can help me get access to their towers. I am looking into starting a WISP and who can help me to get to the towers.

Ryan,

Im not sure how to say this. Never in 1 Trillion years will Telkom allow you onto their towers. If you were to even try they would bury you.

I dont wish to demotivate you but what you asking is just not done and its bad manners and bad sportsmanship.

This cant be real, someone hacked his account. Because no one can be this stupid.....but 10/10 for confidence.

Ask the mods to help you Ryan. And think about what you asking for? Or maybe you didn't ask the correct questions or phrased it correctly.

Most of Telkom's towers belong to Gyro, their property management group. Gyro might allow you to rent space on a mast, though I've no idea what their criteria will be in making that decision.

No, Telkom owns Gyro - it's their property management company, a 100% division of Telkom.

Telkom rents space on most of their towers. Contact Gyro and ask for the person dealing with your area of interest.

@Level7 Is there any chance you got a contact number of Gyro you can PM me. They only have a contact form on their website

I enquired about 2 years ago what are the requirements to rent space on Vodacom Towers.
Vodacom do allow it, but have very strick rules, and advised me that they ask for a R100k deposit, rental was R4500 per month including electricity.

Limitations were 3 sectors and 1 microwave dish, special permission required for anything more to be added.

Funny how these towers are popping up everywhere but there's hardly anyone on them yet they still want a high rent on them. Don't they understand that if you get a handful of people on there you can slowly mitigate the cost
