Hi mybroadband. Im looking for a single port 100/1000 adsl modem. It must be reliable and good quality. I plan to use a switch for my dhcp. And then route everything through the one port of the modem. Can anyone recommend anything to me?

I also want one of these. You use to be able to buy Tenda branded ones from Scoop but they don't stock them anymore :(

Pretty sure I have a Dlink Router as described lying around. Keeping it as a backup thou.

It's your switch that needs to be 10/100/1000 not your modem. Try a DLink DSL2500U modem, it supports up to 24Mbps ADSL2+.

Thanks for the feedback. That modem looks the part i reckon. What can anyone recommend in the way of a switch. I currently have an unmanaged 5 port switch. I will need something that can assign ip address and what not. Dont need anything more than about 6 or 8 ports really.

I would rather that the modem just handle its one port straight through to the adsl. I want to control the dhcp somewhere else on the network and im looking for something with a bit more flexibility that the regular modem firmware. Im looking around online but everything seems to be in the 3-4k price range

game sells hauwei one for R79 , i am using that atm , as mweb fon router is pretty unstable :/
