Looking for someone who is able to offer me Fibre to my home. I live in Odell Road, Sunningdale, Johannesburg.

Anyone? PM me.

what are you expecting exactly? A sales rep or a contractor? Maybe outline requirements and budgets?

I don't want to over complicate things. I want a company that can offer me Fibre to my house at a reasonable price.

There's a DFA Fibre along Northfield avenue.

I'm prepared to spend maximum 1.5k per month for a Fibre connection with decent speeds.

For a single connection? Not happening. Try and get at least 15 people to join you and MAYBE.

Received this response from Cybersmart:

Good Day,

Thank you for making contact with us,

I have checked on the location provided and although the location falls into the general fibre coverage area, it is not currently set up as an active FTTH precinct. We can however make the FTTH service available to your location and to the tenants in the area provided we can obtain a combined customer uptake of R10,000 per month with the following options available below:

*Month to Month - R3000 Once off
*12 Month - R1500 Once off
*24 Month - Free
If you feel as though you can rally this kind of commitment from your neighbours, we can by all means, start a process which will take 90 days turnaround time for installation to the central distribution point with a further 5-7 day turnaround time for reticulation throughout the complex.

This is a combined amount meaning there can be any amount of customers taking any speed package accumulating to the required amount. Attached is the brochure outlining various packages on offer for your perusal.

Should you have any additional questions please feel free to contact us.

Regards
Cybersmart

Looks like it's time to start knocking on neighbors doors.

Also take a look at 123net.co.za

For all FTTH providers you need a minimum sign-up, which is quite annoying but sadly necessary for them to be able to afford bringing it to you.
123net also has a nice 5/1Mbps option that only requires installation fees which, on contract, are cheaper than getting 4Mbps ADSL, making it an easier selling point to your community.

Yes, there are ISP's that don't shape or throttle. Want to know what pricing looks like? Look here: http://safibre.com/. That is 1:1 contention ratio as well.

That is a bit more than what I will be paying. for a 50mbps line on a 1:1 contention ratio I will be paying R999

I don't see the 5/1mb options?
