Since I started on the fibre installation mission, I've been checking the fibre forum quite often. I feel like I'm outside the restaurant window staring into the room filled with nice food. But soon, soon it will be mine.
Things I'm looking forward to:
Things I'm looking forward to:
- Reliable speed (compared to LTE which flakes up and down)
- Known monthly amount (rather than topping up %!&$ LTE data after multiple mobile devices upgrade themselves)
- Proper solid audio/videoconferencing - do this multiple times per week to local & overseas
- Solid remote desktop (better latency, reliable speed)
- Automated daily online backup
- Streaming, both video and RadioZA app
- Allowing my TV to connect to the net again. It killed my data when I did it last
- All my music synced on all my devices
- Having a faster connection than work, until the work fibre arrives
- Building out a few apps that can assume 24/7 connectivity
