This is also why I think Doctor Peterson was right. Removing anonymity on a forum and social media is important. When I joined here I had my full first and Last name on it. I thought fine people are not that bad. I changed my name to a number it was that bad. It is worse because you get away with this stuff all the time. The ops will not ban the majority of you because they are afraid to lose memberships. They will be harsh on new members but be blind to what others do here. That is on them and is how 4chan came to be in the first place.

Linus from Linus tech tips was correct when they took on Reddit. They pretend there is no other place. There are other places with more value, and worth the advertisers' time and money. This place isn't it... It is trash.

You got a chunk of good advice, but you've chosen to instead get on some woke-feels high horse because the advice wasn't what you wanted and then you open yourself up for a bit of ridicule. Also trust me, nobody here was being overly mean.. if you can't handle this level of banter, then being an adult is seriously going to be a challenge for you.

It’s because of the style of your discussions.

The virus thing is unique because you mentioned that you did get a virus or viruses and proceeded to claim an in depth knowledge of the virus itself followed by the solution. Why not utilise this for prevention?

You also reject practically any advise.

Also I’ll be happy to share some chat regarding 3d, unity and even audio stuff. Share some creations and stuff please?

Just thought I'd add my 2c worth @10:10.
Never been a fan of MS and their overpriced products in the past and have always preferred Linux.
The situation improved significantly though, since Windows 10 and I've been using it more often these days.
What I've learned is NOT to trust free antivirus programs especially, AVG/Avast.

I've used Windows virus free for a long time now with only the built-in suite and Malwarebytes free for occasional scans.
I'd say that upgrading to their premium suite would give you piece of mind and be a worthwhile investment for you.

Seriously, is there any need for this? You moan about being attacked but this sort of characterization about someone who you literally know nothing about in the real world is a little bit silly.
 
At this stage if anyone is still trying to provide actual technical oriented advise, you're feeding the [perceived] trolling. Because at 6 pages long, I can't see how a [power] user can indicate to have such in-depth and wide breadth of knowledge and equipment ownership in various aspects of IT services/software/technology but doesn't have a handle on more fundamental pc literacy, feels like lot of expert googling but zero understanding.

Unreal 5 vs Unity

I am a Unreal Engine user as you already know. Don't really know what you want to me answer? I have an RTX 2070 and it works fine. Unreal is still a better engine than Unity and I will die on that hill. "Blueprints" is actually amazing.

Hmm, mission critical data backed up to thumb drives :rolleyes:. At minimum have a daily 2 two different drives, a weekly drive and a monthly/bimonthly if its so important. Then you can go on to add more options via cloud/nas/snapshots heck even something like veeam ... just never ever thumbdrives lol .. even just the first option gives you at least a month to "oh i got infected, lets go back to a proper backup" ..assuming you dont leave them all connected for the infection to spread hehe

In all seriousness, the OP might be a troll, but I suspect it is possibly someone who is desperately lonely and trying to be one of the "cool kids". All of their posts remind me of this guy who used to hang around the internet café I worked at. He would talk about how his dad had a PlayStation 4 because he worked for Sony when the PS2 had just come out. He would also try to talk to my friends who were in ComSci about computer-related stuff and some of them were very blunt and asked him what the hell he was talking about because even I (the non-ComSci guy) had more of a clue than he did.

So how do they connect your encrypted data with this website for example? Well, that is where the OSI model comes to mess with you. You have two essential functions one is ARP the other is MAC. The one that might get you in trouble is the MAC Table. See the MAC table that sits on layer two holds two very important details. The first is the physical switch port and the second is your MAC tables map. Now the breakout computer on the VPN or Tor for this matter needs to know where you are otherwise it can't send the requested information back to you. Yes, this is stored in volatile memory, that is how they protect you. That MAC table gets trashed as the memory refreshes. Secondly, some VPNs don't even hide it because it is not part of the TCP/IP stack. But if they really want to find you, all they have to do is match the breakout MAC that is not encrypted with the inbound MAC that is not encrypted. But it is not something someone can do remotely. They need to compromise the breakout server.

Now it is a hell of a lot of trouble to through as they will need court orders and all kinds of legal stuff. But since you used the keyword Russia they might be interested. Anyhow this is how it was explained to me, I might have left something out. I only did a few pen-testing workshops with a couple of friends. But it is fun it is a lot of fun. We use our old hardware setup servers and stuff and then we learn how to do stuff..
