Loot Vouchers Thread

There are multiple sources for a lot of books and cost price can vary dramatically for all kinds of reasons -- there will unfortunately sometimes be cases where competitors are working with via a different supply chain and will have different pricing structures available to them. We aren't marking this title up more than our other textbooks but unfortunately the cost price we can currently source it at is high.

We're always working to ensure that we have the best sources for all the titles we list but with over 12 million titles available to order we won't nail it every time. There are of course often cases where we are significantly cheaper...

Are there any Loot coupons/vouchers available ? I would like to buy a few things:)

Giggling. Refer all your friends to buy from loot, using your referral code. Once they successfully purchase for the first time you'll be rewarded with a R50 Voucher. Unfortunately you've to work hard for the voucher :p.

@Loot.co.za why are we only allowed 1 hot deal on checkout ? :(

want to order 2 of something but getting an error message on checkout and another thing if i edit my cart to 1 then i get charged R60 for shipping even though i select R35 courier. not gonna be worth it for R60 shipping because that drives the price back up to normal which includes free shipping in any case (hope that makes sense)

The 1 per customer restriction is primarily to stop someone coming in and clearing out all our deals stock and then reselling -- pop me a PM with the email address you use for your profile and the product you want two units of and I can make a plan for you. Can take a look at whats happening with the shipping at the same time

Order placed and payed for, really needed those shaving blades used up my last cartridge already and takealot had them at over R200 so greatfull for the special.

Because of greedy Takealot I’ve placed my first order with Loot but I’ve been really disappointed.

They put an item on special but they don’t even have stock. I have to wait for 4 to 7 working days before it even gets dispatched and it’s already been 6 days with no sign of it and no response to my email (24 hours so far).

They are missing a good opportunity to take market share away from Takealot.

Pop me a PM with your order number and I will take a look for you -- re specials, we do try and get stock in but there are times when we source from the supplier and often we can ship much sooner than the estimated dispatch time.
 
I think that this is the best service I've ever received. EVER!

I got an email yesterday saying that my order was still not in stock.
An hour or so later I get another email saying that the item had just arrived at their warehouse and would be sent immediately. Today I've received it.

The extra effort and care to make sure that once it arrived it would be sent via express is really appreciated. Thanks!

Yup that's him.

On another note also ordered some things from them on the 15th of July and still no sign of the items. I believe this is what prevents them from really competing with the likes of Takealot. For a few rand more I would have had said items by now from Takealot.

It just doesn't make them viable unless the saving is massive or you don't care when it eventually arrives.

Were all the items showing as in stock? In that case you should have your parcel already (even via economy courier). If one of the items on your order needs to be sourced from the supplier then that can hold up the entire order. Pop me a PM with your order number and I can take a look for you.

takealot really changed the game with their delivery service but that being said loot aint bad at all
dont mind waiting a week for delivery as long as the price and quality is decent then i got no complaints

That's the thing. I think we all believe there is a market for a strong competitor to Takealot since kaklahari got absorbed but too many of us are the instant gratification type. I think it will remain lazy shopping on loot and impulse buying on Takealot. :) Really hope that changes though.
