Has anyone out there experienced loss or delay in receiving emails via the Axxess mail server. Some of my emails have never arrived, others have been received after long delays.
Despite emailing a complaint to them outlining the problem, no response has been received for several days now.

Why not use Google Mail?

I do realize that it's not the same as a POP3/SMTP mail server, but at least it's mobile, you can access it anywhere, doesn't have intrusive advertisements, and it's got good spam and virus filtering.

Sure it is; Google has both POP and SMTP support, only email I use. And all email sent using smtp is stored in your sent mail in your gmail account.

POP: pop.gmail.com
SMTP: smtp.gmail.com

Remeber to go to: Settings->Forwarding & Pop.

Under Pop Download
  • 1. Status: Click Enable POP only for mail that arrives from now on.
  • 2. When messages are accessed with POP, choose your preference, I use: Archive Gmail's copy.

Edit: beaten to it!

Lol! Sorry man ;) your's looks more professional, so I give it to you!

Heh.. with this I can only need to set up forwarding from my ISP's email account to my Gmail account...

...so if the ISP's services start getting poor, then all I do is switch over to another ISP, and enable mailforwarding on the new mailbox... :D

No more sending email notifications out that your email addy changed...

Not at least till the day Google dies....that will be one sad day. I predict a date of, 3590...November 3590. At least im long gone by then :P

If that's your worry then just get a domain and use Google Domain Apps and you're safe either way. :p

And here we are 1 year later and Axxess still has not resolved the issue.

Also any mail sent from an Axxess mail box is rejected by so many ISPs nowadays and flagged as unsolicited bulk e-mail (UBE) that their mail is basically a useless offering.

I have had a call open with them for quite a while now with proof of the UBE rejections and no response yet.

After telephonically following up my open call with Axxess, they finally indicate that I have to go to all the ISPs that are rejecting mail from the axxess domain and have them whitelist it.

Surely it is their responsibility as domain owner and not the end user to negotiate the whitelistings?
