Lost RAR password.

Mike it would be better just to get the original file again.The same way u got it in the first place

Can you see the file names? It might be worth a shot just typing them into Google. ie. Fiesta2002Model_Manual.pdf

You'd be suprised how often you get a hit. Also make sure the link has [PDF] otherwise it's probably a search agregator that gives false results.
 
Dude, i wish i could compress my porn collection down to 1 100mb file :p

forget about cracking an 18 character password protected RAR file - you'd be better off working at ford for 2 years and creating the manuals from scratch yourself

Yeah, I knew that all along, just asked here incase anybody knew of a workaround. Thanks anyway guys

Sorry about that, will upload it tonight, got home so late last night i didn't even think about the file.

That file you linked to is for the st, mine is the 1.6 trend which is a different engine unfortunately but i will download it anyway, it may still be able to help me.
 
What program do you use for this cracking? I've got some old backups that I'd like to give a bash. Nothing important, but more out of interest to see how long it takes to crack my own password :o

Can PM me the program / link if you prefer ;)

If you downloaded this rar from the internet, then also searching the rar filename could find the original file + password, or even lead you closer to finding it.

I've noticed some rar's extract some small text files before asking the password, sometimes their filenames contain domain names, which can sometimes be the password.
