Lower telecoms prices coming

Well, we do have competition .. lets take the 3G example .. Vodacom released there offering and then MTN did .. guess what? The prices were the same! Telkom has now come in and there offerings are lower but not by much .. at least, though, we have choice now and the networks fight to get better networks with more uptime and greater BW ... Look at how all three are upgrading to 7.2 and when better technology is out, they will invest in those. Yet, prices are stagnant ...

who does mtn and vodacom buy their bw fom?

Most of the broadband providers are owned by the same company or shareholders..

I don't see how they would want to compete, Sentech was an extention of the SABC, Telkom, Run by the Goverment, Vodacom Owned by Telkom, Iburst managed by Vodacom. There aren't many providers that are independent. Its got nothign to do with who they buy their bandwith from..
