it used to be at least. not anymore, but i cannot tell you how long before we also have those cheaper standalone players here (might be here already)

how much does one blu ray movie cost? and is the quality difference worth the effort and money replacing all your existing dvd's?

BTW - didn't Microsoft refund people who'd recently bought the product at the higher price (in Microsoft points or something) when they dropped the price overseas? I remember something like that.

It all depends on what you want.

PS3: Little Big Planet; God Of War III (next year); Bluray Player
360: Gears of War 2; Fable 2; Best online multiplayer
Wii: Party games :D

It all depends on what games you want to play. So I'm just going to vote for "other", whereby I mean "all of them" :P

can add MGS4 to the PS3 list.. That game alone is enough of a reason to get one ;)
 
Oh and imo ps3 console and games are too expensive. With that considered, the graphics on xbox and ps3 are just about exactly the same (minor lighting differences here and there from what ive seen). Blueray - i am personally not interested in as it brings nothing to the games, it is just a media feature which i think is overhyped at this stage. So the xbox is by far a better buy in my eyes.
