LPIC-1 Without Linux Essentials

Hi guys.

So ive never really used linux before and I really want to get into it.
Ive found the Comptia Linux+ 101/102 cert that includes LPIC-1.

However what I would like to know from you guys is would a complete
linux newbie be able to do LPIC-1 without any linux experience?

All ive done from home is fiddle with some of the Distros through VMWorkstation,
like RedHat, CentOS, OpenSUSE. So i have no solid linux knowledge really... :/

Should i do essentials before doing LPIC-1 or not?

Yes LPIC-1&2 can be done with little Linux knowledge as the point of it is to give a basic Linux grounding.

Give this a read. Then do LPIC1/2/3 or RHCSA/RHCE or the Linux Foundation stuff.

Either way its a great foundation.
