Hey Guys,

I am currently on the Telkom 50GB deal. I am cancelling as i want more data and because its Hellkom after all. Im currently paying R749.00 per month. After doing a bit of research i dont want to get Fibre(little expensive with the installation costs etc). So here is my plan and please let me know if you think its good:

Get 1 X Rain LTE sim card @R250.00 per month(unlimited date from 11pm - 6pm) .
Get 1 X Cell C 50 GB sim only @ R349.00 per month
Total value: R599.00 per month

Thoughts?

Also need to add mikrotik router to cost, then will automatically switch between the 2 routers for you :P
 
The Telkom 50GB deal you have atm for R749 is actually 100 + 100, which is not too shabby.
If you type in *123# in the USSD you get offered 450 GB night surfer for R59, that too is not too shabby.

The telkom deal of 100 + 100 only came out recently which means i dont have access to it as my contract comes to an end next year. Also the 450GB night surfer option is not offered to everyone, the best deal i get from doing that is 8.5GB for R99
 
Strange how different people get different options.

Why do you say fibre is too expensive? Telkom uncapped is R800 pm for 10Mbps uncapped. It's only R50 more. There are other ISP's that may be a bit cheaper.

I was on the same package, cancelled and then got the same one 100 + 100GB.

If you take the contract with no device, you can cancel at any time with a months notice.
Just make sure you do it all in store.

I recently cancelled that same contract when fibre became available.
Choosing LTE over fibre because of installation costs (which many ISPs cover) is a mistake.

If your'e interested, I got a telkom LTE contract that i pay R374.30 for 80gigs. I'm looking for someone to take over the contract for me since i now have 30gigs on my phone, and thats more than enough for me. Im gona post on classifieds when admins give me rights to
