LTE and Iphone 5

I believe LTE is live in Cape Town ... i have asked Vodacom to switch my LTE service on. (1 month ago)

when the phone goes over to LTE .. will it say LTE in the reception area or just 3g?

oh i have also changed my APN to lte.vodacom

anything else i need to do to get the LTE signal?

You are very optimistic.

Until Apple gives Vodacom permission to switch on LTE for iOS devices, it won't work.

The APN should be set to lte.vodacom.za by the way.

Screenshots around the web, it will say "LTE" indicatior if on LTE network.

Ok,
So when i use the iphone.vodacom.za APN i get about 4mbs download speed (using speed net)
when i switch it to the lte.vodacom.za i get about 11mbs download speed....

but the signal still shows 3g , so i am thinking perhaps it is using lte but does not switch signal indicator?
