LTE information

Ok did a test now, loaded 500gb midnight bundle for R50 put my samsung J5 on LTE and to my surprise i am picking up 4G, but with normal all networks data i dont ever pick up 4G. So now im sure if i get a LTE uncapped contract i should be able to use it even though telkom coverage map says i dont have LTE in my area.

Speedtest is giving me 26.6mb dload and 18.3mb upload.

Go to telkom, get an IDS sim card and test in ur phone. Make sure u have a LTE phone which supports band 40 (2300mhZ) and test.. Explain to telkom ur line drops and u constantly having adsl issues and they will give u the sim free of charge

Make sure they activate the id's sim to use all ur adsl data

Hi guys. Okay an update. I went out to the benoni tower and that tower is congested af.. Directly next to it and got a speed of 2mbps. Pathetic. So that tells me the problem. Okay secondly, the other closest tower as shown in the picture I posted earlier is in Leachville. An extremely small community, went out to it, got 50mbps upload and download. Great. Now comes the tricky part. How do I bypass the benoni tower which is the closest to me and with which I catch full 4 bars of reception? I climbed my roof, no clear line of sight, I know where the tower is its really not far but no clear sight to it. So will the directional antenna work on this? How will I get it to work if I don't have line of sight? And the high gain antenna only connects to the closest tower with the best reception. Is there an alternative before I go and take over someone's contract this coming weekend? I can't deal with adsl anymore. 4mb error prone, I need that 20+mb.

Well first of all that is not a Telkom tower.... The Telkom sector antennas is unique compared to the other networks. They look like these

I understand, but that's literally the only high tree/building in the area. It couldn't be anything else I highly doubt it. So I've taken the contract, and I'm suffering for speeds. Max I've got was 10mb and that's after 12pm. What do I do guys? I want to the other cell tower. Any help
