LTE router drops to 3G

Hi there guys.

Our LTE modem drops from 4G down to 3G in the early hours of the morning and sometimes in the day. Is this realted to the Telkom Mobile down time? Has anyone else experienced this? Getting an answer out of Telkom is like pulling teeth. It used to happen now and again but now its happening every night in the early hours of the morning.

SOmetimes a reboot will fix it but then it just goes down again.

Any advice?

Possibly people talking advantage of midnight to 6am "free" data congesting the network?

I have my router on a timer anyway.

This happened to me 3 times. Think they were working on the network. Mine was during the day weekends.
Never could get a straight answer?

Change your router setting to LTE only... this should fix the problem!
Mine is set to LTE only and I've never had an issue- if my tower goes down, it manages to pick up another LTE tower...

I have only one tower on LTE in my area. IF tower goes down 3G only.

I drove around with my car to see which towers are LTE enabled. Modem and Laptop.
Most towers all have Telkom presence, this I have seen when looking behind fence.
