Be aware AFRIHOST (apparently a MTN thing) LOCK your LTE router at one address (Tower Lock) If you switch your router on and it connects to another tower your services gets suspended.

I understand you cant use it on the go, but surely from one one fixed location to another should not be a problem. VODACOM etc dont tower lock

Yes, its an MTN thing, and if you ask Afrihost, they should be able to remove the lock for you. There is only a certain amount of times they can remove the lock in a specific period, so you can't for example use it at both home and work daily

MTN LTE is definitely tower locked.
You are able to talk to our teams to unlock it when you're in the right location.

Now found out One only have apparently 3 moves requests per year. So they locked it to the address at my future address in Western Cape (blocked it when I switched it on in Gauteng), so 1 move gone and another gone when I move in April

Hey wpc9194, I really do understand how you feel about our fixed wireless packages. I wish there was a way around the tower lock issue.
