Yes, its an MTN thing, and if you ask Afrihost, they should be able to remove the lock for you. There is only a certain amount of times they can remove the lock in a specific period, so you can't for example use it at both home and work dailyBe aware AFRIHOST (apparently a MTN thing) LOCK your LTE router at one address (Tower Lock) If you switch your router on and it connects to another tower your services gets suspended.
Hey wpc9194, I really do understand how you feel about our fixed wireless packages. I wish there was a way around the tower lock issue.Now found out One only have apparently 3 moves requests per year. So they locked it to the address at my future address in Western Cape (blocked it when I switched it on in Gauteng), so 1 move gone and another gone when I move in April
