Lumia 535

Mine arrived this morning, orange was about 2 days later than they said. I am very impressed with what you get for the price. It's very good value for R1375. The 1GB ram makes it a lot more snappy than the 520 which had 512MB.

My only complaint would be that the back cover feels slightly loose.... like it will come off when I drop it. I will let you all know what happens after the first drop!

Besides that, it's a great phone for a steal! Obviously it's not a flagship, but it's value for money in times where every penny counts. And adding in a second data-sim from axxess/afrihost will save a few more :)

Got it yesterday, amazing phone! Very snappy and the UI is so clean, as are the apps. The radio and camera are above par and the build quality is sturdy. The 5" IPS screen is brilliant, you don't notice the pixels despite it being 220ppi.

That said I cannot use it as a main phone as some of the apps I like are not available on Windows Phone. I also find it to fancy for a secondary phone. So up for grabs is a one day old Lumia 535 (Black) Dual Sim. PM if you want it, R1200.

:O did you sell it as yet? Great price.
Anyway ABSA is taking their sweet time in producing that app..

How is the battery life on the 535?

I just happened to have timed this the other day. Standby time was 72 hours, with 3 hours remaining according to battery sense. Obviously near the end it switched to battery saver mode. Note that I made zero calls during this time, and only sent a few messages, with 1 picture taken.

my usage is more intense than that as long as it lasts longer than a day ill be happy.

agreed. I just want a dual sim phone that works well and has a decent battery life on it and that the battery indicator doesn't lie.

I fell for the crappy Zest phones and the thing will show 75% power and then the next thing it switches itself off and when you restart it, it shows battery of 5%.

Wow. That's horrible.

Cellular data or WiFi?

Battery life for me is 2 days. Use it every hour or so to browse the web, constantly on wifi.

I've been having some issues and I've got the latest firmware. Yesterday swype stopped working, and the keyboard was typing gibberish and not the characters I was pressing. I popped the phone out of the shell and it started working again :wtf:

that sucks :(

as i seen the 535 all over!

and when i try to get the others its "discontinued" 1320/830 the 930 is "hardto get gonna take long"

seems like they want to get rid of all the older "nokia's"

The 535 is the new rising star from the stats I've seen, although the 640 is the new kid on the block
