Lumia 920 Thread

WhatsApp has been available for the WP for quite some time already. Although it has a few bugs and not quite as feature rich as the other platforms, it is still very useable.

A new version (which involves a major rewrite) which will bring the app on par with the other platforms should be released within the next month or so.

So no Whatsapp or orientation lock!? Even a Z10 has those features.

Would this be Microsoft or Nokia's fault?

Once again, developers can either force orientation lock or put it in as an option in their apps.

Whatsapp has been available for WP since last year February or so, with a major update due in the next couple of days most likely.

Have you tried Whatsapp on the Z10? It's horrendous and is just a port of the Android version not a native app...

Not according to OP. Maybe it's not pre-installed and now he thinks it's not available :p

Do the browser & media player have it built in then? Those two in particular as I'm usually watching something or browsing in bed and the orientation lock is a God send.

Well upgraded and already a restart as I enabled Internet sharing. Is the restart problem better for anyone else

Barely anything installed.

Did you check if what you have installed are running in the background with location services on? I noticed some apps that use location eats my battery like crazy but thats about it.

I want to take out a contract on one of these bad boys... How is this devices stability wise, and battery wise? Does the battery last a bit longer than half a day at least (Current Android only lasts a day maximum - Without even using it). How is the built in Music player? does it support m4u and mp3's? and does it have a built in Email application? How does that application stack up to any other mobile email client? Ooh, and a calendar? Does it have enough grunt to do more than 4 things at a time? Sorry for the "silly" questions, just want to know before I decide on what I want... I'm not bothered by apps... As long as it can go onto Facebook, and twitter, take photos, access emails, make calls and sens SMS's, oh, and browse the internet, I can't be bothered at all...

Not silly mate. I'll answer on the stability - the phone does have a problem with random restarts and there is no fix for it as yet
