Luno Support and Queries Thread

Who do you bank with Sly21C?

If the 'instant' transfer was done from ABSA then ABSA is almost definitely responsible for the delay. I have had clients pay me from ABSA to FNB on weekends a couple of times with the instant option and payment only reflected on Monday.
I bank with Absa. I think it's Luno's fault because I performed 2 deposit transactions yesterday. I made the first one in the morning, at around 10am. I received the deposit on my Luno account an hour later. Then, at about noon, I made another deposit from the same bank account to Luno and I haven't received that one. Maybe Luno stop working at 12h00 on Saturday?

The issue is I've made numerous transactions on Luno from/to my bank in the past. Most of those transactions where during weekends, and they went through. If I made an immediate transfer, they went through within 2 hours. If I made a normal deposit transaction, they went through after a day or two.

Hi,

We are sorry to hear about the delay in receiveing the deposit. However, as our T&Cs stipulate, we only allow one deposit per 24 hours. As you said, the first deposit was successful and the other wasn't, this is likely the reason. Also, banks can take up to 48 hours, even an immediate transfer, when sending large amounts to other banks. If you can, please submit a ticket and comment here with that ticket number and we will get someone to look into it for you.

However, as our T&Cs stipulate, we only allow one deposit per 24 hours.
It doesn't say anything about one deposit per 24 hours, it only says the deposit amount cannot be the same per 24 hours...

Duplicate deposit amount
As a safety precaution, our system stops deposits of the same amount made to the same customer’s Luno wallet within a 24 hour period. If you would like to make more than one deposit in a day, make sure they are all of different amounts.

So if it's the same deposit amounts, and the initial deposit amount goes through, does it mean the second deposited amount is lost? Or will it be deposited manually during weekdays?

Edit: The above question applies to you also @lunomoney

Just tested your theory. Deposited R200 with immediate transfer from ABSA. Reflected in Wallet within 8-10min

I was about to reply right now to you, then a notification appeared on my phone stating that my funds have been deposited. So I'm all good, I got my funds :).

Essentially, like the T & Cs state, immediate transfers are done automatically by Luno's systems. But if another transfer is made within 24 hours with the exact same amount as the first transfer, then Luno's system stops the second transaction. Luno will then have to process the transaction manually, after you have provided proof of payments.

Thanks for explanation

hi Luno, you havent answered the question for those of us with smaller amounts on luno,

can you build in functionality to see exactly how much we need to claim tax on? especially with the new SARS laws
I mean is there a easy way to see on a lifetime of our account

, how much we have deposited(fiat) withdrawn(profit/loss) and how much growth our money has had?

is such a thing possible, especially on the LVL2 accounts, that are capped to 50K

every time there is a large drop, luno prevents you from trading. every. single. time.

How so?
I'm able to trade without an issue. Sure, I've seen some slowness around December, but then again so did GDAX, Polo and literally every other exchange on the planet.

Hi,

For TAX purposes, you can download or request a CSV file with all your transactions to date

If you need any help doing this, please let us know.

yes, but that isnt my question,
is there a functionality that one can see from one look, without adding everything up manually,
what we have withdrawn from luno since our account was created?

I mean the banks do it, why can luno not?
I mean FNB shows you exactly what you have and how much you owe quite plainly, why cant luno do this?

What exactly is your question? You ask about a feature that displays total amount withdrawn, then point to the banks as an example.

Firstly, please point to where a bank shows you exactly how much you've withdrawn since you had your account.

Secondly, you say 'fnb shows you exactly what you have and how much you owe'... this is completely different to what you were originally talking about. Luno DOES show you exactly what you have (your balance), as to how much you owe...owe who?

Why is LUNO so god damn slow? I've been trying to send ETH to another wallet since 6PM yesterday...

AltCoinTrader was WAY faster...
