Hi guys
Just recently acquired an Inverter system:
Luxpower SNA5000 and CFE 5.12kW lithium battery and no panels at the moment.
Im looking for some guidance on how to programme the Inverter through the portal to make it charge the battery 24/7 and keep it at 100% when there is grid power
By default the Inverter Charges the battery to 100% as soon as it drops to 90% or lower, once it reaches 100% it starts to slowly discharge because the inverter uses power from the battery instead of power from the grid. The problem is that most times since it’s slowly dropping in charge, by the time next load shedding session starts, the battery won’t be at 100% it will be sitting at low 90s like 92% or 93% etc
I was told by a Luxpower agent that you can set the inverter to “cycle charge” which means that it constantly charges the battery so that it remains at 100% charge while there is grid power, I agreed to try it out and he did so and it worked beautifully for a few days and then one morning it had just reverted back to default as I’ve explained above, I cannot get back in contact with the same agent again and no one else seems to know how to do this
If anyone owns this inverter or knows how to programme it to stay at 100% I would appreciate it very much if you could guide me in changing it that way
Thanks for your time
