M-Net changed their entire look (idents) on 1 June 2009, to what I think looks ugly and doesn't fit in with the M-Net (idents) we have grown up with. Follow the debate in this thread:

I have added pics of the M-Net logo and look (idents) spanning from their very beginning in 1986 to screenshots of the new 2009 M-Net look (idents). Add some other pics if you've got any.
I couldn't put all the pics in one neat package so you'll have to click on the individual links.

who cares, really?
Use a TV card with some software and remove the logo if you don't like it.

Wow...

Tonight I've just understood exactly what Freud was on about when we had to study the 3 levels of development.
Someone is seriously stuck in level 2. That's the really interesting one!

Having said that...

RIP Mnet presenters. (I only realised a few months ago... shows you how much of an impact they had)
and...
I do miss the "don't stop me now" ad
The only time I've ever enjoyed anyone messing with Queen lyrics.

You had to be pretty bored to do that...

IMHO the best idents I've seen are for Channel Nine in Aus and the one's for BBC1. Best in SA are probably etv followed closely by SABC3. The channels are all crap, at least their idents.

I hate the SABC, but SABC3 does have the best idents of any SA channel, except for the huge on-screen logo with black pixels around it. And yes, I did have time, but did have old shows that I once recorded on VHS tranferred to my PC. So everything was there, ready for utilisation.

Blixempie, you're seriously bothered by this new M-Net theme huh? 2nd thread about it. Geez like

Which app did you use to do that?

Those are just google images merc, but If you have a TV Card you can do it with, I think it's called "D Scaler" or something

for those recording TV Shows for yourself, you get plug-ins to do it as well (like for VirtualDub)

Okay, but you can remove those TV squares in the corner with those apps?
