far away land, but it's nice here
have a glance here

two things to note..
the m3 scored a 2 for fuel economy, whereas the RS4 scores a 3.
in the paragraph above it clearly shows the m3 uses less fuel per 100km.

doh

secondly...add the numbers up...for section 1 the scores listed are 43 vs 42.
yet i add the numbers and get 44 vs 41.

journalists...*sigh*
the only have to do one job, write a decent article...

It seems like these 2 cars perform differently on different days and the RS4 came out tops on that particular day. I disagree with the ratings for Steering feel & Economy. The BMW interiors are probably the most boring IMO. I see the same dash on the 3,5 & 6 series :(

When will Audi launch the next RS4?

I have drivin both of these cars and i must say both of them are epic drives...as for the Bmw havin a boring interrior i agree...the car costs R650 000 and for that money, you get the same dash and spec level as seen in all the other Bmw's. Performance wise the Rs4 is the faster car, not by far tho and its about R35 000 cheaper...i drove it down Jan Smuts and i clocked out on 255kph in no time at all, havn't been able to do a top speed run in the M3...as the owner of the car is a friend of mine and he himself hasn't done it yet(think he is a bit scared). Rs4 feels faster, sounds faster, and is an all round beast!!

well the current rs4 was released in the same year as the previous a4 internationally, but was only released here last year (2 years later), so if we're lucky we'll see the next rs4 shortly before the world cup :(. actually, that's a good thing coz then i just might be in the market for one :D
cant wait to see what they come up with tho, i feel real sorry for beemer coz if the current 3 year old rs4 is more or less on par with their new m3, whats the next one gonna do to it? :p
/me patiently twiddles /me's thumbs while /me waits

Lambo engine!!:D

for the M3 run im gonna go down republic road at 01:00 am...not giving a date tho....maybe we have some metro pigs on the forum LOL

if you have had or driven the previous M3's ... the new one is more like an E39 M5 ... i was not impressed at all ... felt like a fat pig ... maybe i need to drive it again ...

I have driven the Rs4(flat out) and M3(not flat out...yet) and i reckon if we removed the electronic limit on both the cars the M3 would have a higher top end than the Rs4...but for now the Rs4 rules the roost for me!!

yeah i know but its the only road they don't trap on during the wee hours of the morning mate

Forget about the speeding fine... What if you clip a curb at that speed...?
or have a blow out? and swerve onto the oncoming lane.... no barriers on Jan Smuts if i remember...? Crashing into someone at that speed....
Taking out a father or a mother or worse... Kids.... not cool mate...

if you really want to test the limits of your car...for whatever reason..... Rather do it on the N1 in the Wee hours of the morning.....
If you crash at that speed... hopefully only you will bear the effects of the crash...and not an innocent family....

Do it on the high way.

I hit the cut off in a M3 German spec.:)

It get better he then posts this in the other thread

Diamond black BMW 525i 1992 model....Awsum car...it saved my life when a crazed chick driving 110kph in a 60kph zone hit me while i was stationary...had a bad back and neck injury bt if i had been in something like a golf i would have probably been dead...Had to sell her after the accident and she was really heavy on juice...or maybe my foot was heavy...I miss that car

So its fine for you to speed but not some "crazed" chick ????

Dude 1st of all i speed late at nite or after midnite when there aren't cars around..we usually plan the drves way ahead of time for when we do this..as for the chick that hit me it happened at 17:00 on a thursday afternoon in traffic...she tried catching the robot while it was still orange and ****ed up my car and me for a couple of months. So yes what i do is dangerous but we do it when there aren't people or other vehicles around i am a reponsible driver and ive done 2 advanced driving courses...I don't ever drive more than 20kph ova the speed limit during the day or evening..ive got about 20 speeding tickets all for about R100 for driving between 71-79kph in a 60 zone!! i'll post them to you so you can have a look...i'll even go as far as to invite you for a drive one nite!! I LOVE SPEED

Can't do it on the high way mate...we've tried...just to many variables...broken down cars....blown out tyres in da lanes...crap like that...at least we can control it down certain streets in and around Jhb!!

as for hitting the cut off speed on the M3 u must of enjoyed it!!:D

Anyway enough about me driving fast...Back to the thread...Sorry @ Bite me
