Mac OS X 10.5.3 Update released

Gents, where does the 10.5.3 update get saved to exactly using Software Update?

I need to put in on flash stick for a m8 that isn't connected to the net yet.

Unless you selected either 'download only' or 'install and keep package' from the software update menu (or downloaded it directly from the website) it doesnt get stored.

If you did I think it defaults to your download directory

Yep I did... As mentioned in my post :)

Ag balls.. I'll just wait for new month to download it from that URL posted earlier above and save it. What are the major differences with this update? Anyone know?
 
I'm also trying to find a detailed list of everything that has been updated...

Especially the RAW support...
 
Doesn't make sense, because in the 10.5.3 Update it states:

"Includes additional RAW image support for several cameras."

And then they release a stand alone update for additional camera's?

I think the standalone might be for people who haven't upgraded to 10.5.3 - same for the security update.
 
I guess they're exclusive. Before I installed the 10.5.3 update, I had both updates. I ticked both and hit install, but only 10.5.3 installed, the machine rebooted, and when it came up, the RAW update didn't show.

U noticed any improvement in Leopard yet.
1.6 gigs worth of files installed, and looks the same to me.

I'm a novice, haven't really encountered any of the bugs that were being fixed. The previous update added support for my dad's camera though, so yes, I have noticed an improvement.

Anyways, it's still one hell of an improvement over Windows. :D

Also a novice, have a few things I wish they'd fix though.
Thing with Leopard is that the few bugs really stand out.
Like Cindy Crawford's mole.

Windows, u kinda expect them.:)
 
My main ones:

Front Row, still a pain in the ass.
Mentioned these before, bwana gave a fix for "1", but prefer apple to fix.
And fix don't work if I want to copy movies from iTunes to my iPhone.

My issues are the same as this guys.

Boot Camp Mentioned before.
My iMac's screensaver still doesn't work in XP, nor does powering off the monitor.

That's why I still use MPlayerOSX - as ugly a kludge as the Mac port is. It has key bindings for different length of skips. Left and right arrows skip backwards and forwards 10 seconds, up and down arrows skip one minute, fn+up/down (or pgup/pgdn on PC) skip 10 minutes. It also has keys (+ and -) to adjust A/V sync on the fly.

Another thing that keeps me using it, is if I have something playing on the one screen, and I want to work on the other, Quicktime pops out of full screen mode the moment I click on something. MPlayer doesn't.

Moving Previews? I thought you just miss-spelt 'movie' but you wrote 'moving' twice :)

Which reminds me, there is one little annoyance. They took away the media controls on movie/audio preview in Finder (in column view).

Why do you need controls? Click play, click pause. :)

BTW - heard good things about the xbox media center port for osx. Anyone try it yet? http://xbmc.org/
