MacBook Pro 13" - cost to replace screen / display ?

Any ideas as to approximately what the cost would be on a new or 2nd hand replacement ?
This for the part only - not including labor / fitment cost.

I have been offered one (the MBP) from a friend at a good price. I know the machine well - aside from the screen that got damaged yesterday.
It functions perfectly using an ext display.

Was thinking of getting it for my housekeeper's son (depending on screen cost).

A quick browse on eBay shows that the panel alone will cost from R1,000 for non-retina and from R3,000 for retina. These are estimates though.

it's a 2010 model, so it will be non-retina
