Hi guys,

Working on a friends mac and they've run out of cap, I need to get their default gateway somehow so I can log onto the router to change the username and password details but I have no idea where to go cos I don't normally use a mac.

What is mac's equivalent to command prompt and what is the command to access IP details?

Thanks in advance

Raizon

P.S. - thank g-d MyBB is hosted locally so I can still get your help :)

It's called Terminal and you can run "ifconfig".
You could also just open System Preferences and look at the network settings there.

Oh and System Preferences is in the Applications folder and Terminal is in Applications/Utilities. If they're running 10.4 or 10.5 you'll see Spotlight (magnification icon) in the top right corner, just type terminal or system preferences in there
