Magnito light cable shorting

More cycles, overcharge protection, no breaking charge cable, lighter. Seems like an upgrade.

Albeit slightly dimmer, reliability is more important.

I don't have a dog in this fight and I may still get a lithium one later to try out.

The lead acid one also charges quicker, batteries are avaliable and replaceable (was R100 to get a new battery for mine), they state a longer run time on the specs and they come on instantly when the power goes out.

I leave mine plugged 24/7 so I don't see the cable wearing out any time soon.

What I like about the lithium model is that one can charge it via USB (power bank etc.)
 
Same thing happened to as in the OP, plugged in, BOOM! ... dirty carbon fingers and no more electrical lead.
