Or whatever percentage they still have left, of South Africa's 10%, an extra 1% might be lost, but that in exchange for +20% seems to be worthwhile.

Heck there might not even be a loss, since coming next election those who didn't vote might actually go vote since this would be the greatest opportunity to get rid of Zuma ANC.

Although it would be a bittersweet victory since everything already has gone downhill.

I'm not worried about white people leaving the party. I dont even believe that to be he true. I have not met any white DA members who do not like mmusi. He is able to easily reach across age, religion and race.

You show me a white card carrying member who will leave DA because mmusi was elected and I will show you a fake membership card

Probably a valid statement for possible ways the opposition could choose to react. Actually wouldn't be surprised if there's headline in the next few days stating x amount of white people leave the DA for *insert party*.

Feels the same. All fellow whities I've had conversations with re. Mmusi have the utmost respect for the dude.
I'm very happy for him, but it didn't surprise me at all.
 
Atleast he carries a small glimmer of hope for SA's future. We need an educated and fair man in power to lead us and realise our true potential. Glad about the result.
 
Good on the DA. A step in the right direction attracting the black voters.

Why would anyone vote for a party that doesn't have their best interest at heart?

The DA is NOT a black party or was a white part ect ect...they are the most neutral party of them all.

The DA has my vote. Truth is they have proven themselves in the Western Cape and I'm positive they would do the same for SA.

Maybe such news would be a good idea, and convince more of the general population that the DA isn't just a white person's party.

The ANC lost a lot of the vote in the last election. I'm keen to see how many votes the EFF and DA can steal in the next election.

I just hope the DA stays ahead of the EFF. The ANC would be remembered much more fondly if the EFF ever came into power.
 
Its so sad that most ANC loyalists always think that white South Africans want Apartheid back, but it is understandable that the ANC leaders are filling the voters head with this nonsense.

Ask most white middle age person and you will hear the same answer, we don't care who leads this country as long as they want the best for the people and not trying harder to steal than to help their own citizens.

I would rather be led by some one that has 2 masters than some one that has std 3.
We need intelligent people to lead us.

The sad at is ANC have some really intelligent people but the majority dont want them, wonder why.

But then again does not amuse me the first thing the ANC had to say about Msumani was that it's a racial party
